Emona Student Residence is the latest, exciting development on the University of Namibia’s main Windhoek Campus.
Newly constructed, this quality student residence opened its doors in early January 2014.
Although Emona is conveniently situated on the picturesque grounds of the University of Namibia – allowing students safe, easy access to the campus and all of its amenities — the residence is privately managed and maintained by a team of dedicated, professional staff.
From its on-campus location and architectural planning to its various amenities, everything at Emona has been designed around the idea of enhancing and facilitating the 21st century student lifestyle.
We offer a selection of comfortable, carefully planned shared-room options, to suit your unique requirements, across 16 exclusively male or female blocks – all with access to professionally cleaned, well-maintained bathrooms, lounge areas and well-equipped communal kitchens.
Because security is a top priority at Emona, we’ve installed innovative biometric systems at all res entrances and exits – including the car-boom drive-through and pedestrian turnstile access points, as well as biometric (thumbprint) access to each block and floor. This ensures that only students and authorised personnel gain access to the residence.
Security guards monitor the main entrance 24/7, and all visitors are required to check in and out when they visit, to further ensure the overall safety of the estate. In addition to these systems, the entire property is also safely fenced off and monitored.
With 24 hour Wi-Fi connectivity (for UNAM students only) throughout the residence, as well as free access to the UNAM’s intranet, connecting to both on-campus digital study programmes and the internet is easy.
